Organisation & Colophon

The full name of Stibat Services is Stichting Stibat Services. The implementing organisation, which on the reference date 31 December 2020 consists of 10.2 FTEs, has a board and is headed by a managing director. Stibat Services applies a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015. We are certified for this system. Each year, Lloyd’s Register Quality conducts the external audit, which we successfully completed again in 2020.

Stibat Services takes care of the collection, sorting and recycling of discarded batteries and accumulators for participating producers and importers of Stichting Batterijen and Stichting EPAC. We do this on the basis of the Batteries and Accumulators (Management) Decree 2008 and the Batteries and Accumulators (Management) Regulation 2008. This regulation lays down provisions with regard to waste management and the use of hazardous substances in batteries and accumulators.

The way in which Stibat Services fulfils the legal obligations of the participants of our clients is described in a collective communication that was submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment in 2009.
